Royal Designation for Schiphol Group

In honour of its 100th anniversary, the airport has been granted ‘Royal’ designation

Today, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was granted ‘Royal’ designation by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. The ‘Royal’ designation is the crowning glory of the airport's centennial celebrations.
During a festive ceremony attended by many Schiphol employees, the King's Commissioner of North Holland Johan Remkes awarded the ‘Royal’ designation to Schiphol President and CEO Jos Nijhuis on behalf of the airport.
