Company Visit to CocaCola European Partners's Bottling Plant

Published: May 12, 2017

On Wednesday May 10, AmCham visited the CocaCola European Partners’ recently renovated bottling plant in Dongen. Together with U.S. Consul General David McCawley and U.S. Embassy Commercial Specialist Alec Boydston we were able to see the entire production process.

The state-of-the-art factory forms part of CocaCola’s commitment to invest in the future of their company and drive sustainable growth. CocaCola European Partners recently invested over €90 million to streamline their production facility and make it more sustainable.

CocaCola have been operating in Dongen since the 1950s, and 85 percent of all soft drinks sold in the Netherlands are manufactured there. They employ about 800 people and use local ingredients whenever possible – for example, mineral water from a nearby spring known as De Wildert and sustainably grown Dutch sugar beets.
