On September 12, AmCham and the Legal Committee hosted a seminar to discuss Governance Complexities for US Headquartered companies in Europe and the Netherlands. Samuel Garcia Nelen, Lawyer / Shareholder and Assistant Professor at Erasmus University, began with an overview on how governance has expanded in the last years. He dove into what factors make up governance, the trends corporations are seeing in these areas, and how governance looks different in the United States and Europe.
Following the brief lecture, three industry professionals each presented their experiences and approaches at their respective companies before answering panel questions from attendees. We’d like to thank our experts for sharing their time and knowledge, Federica Lolli, Assistant General Counsel Europe, Global Net Zero & Energy, Azar Koulibaly, GM & Associate General Counsel, Netherlands & Switzerland, and Milana Jevic Gledovic, SVP Legal and Public Affairs.
The afternoon gave many insights into the topics of governance in transatlantic corporations. We cordially thank our event sponsors, Greenberg Traurig, LyondellBasell, Microsoft, and Ahold Delhaize. We would like to express our gratitude to all those who attended the informative afternoon.
