Globally we are confronted with an unprecedented health crisis, which has disrupted many aspects of our lives. AmCham is proud that many companies contribute to helping citizens and companies, with the challenges they are facing as a result of COVID-19.

After it became known that schools had to close down, digital educational programs had to deal with an extremely large number of visitors. Therefore, tech company Amazon helped out Squla, the online learning platform, by making available technicians and extra servers to Squla’s online teaching applications. Read more here.

Honeywell is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak, by quickly ramping up production of the N95 masks at their Rhode Island factory, to address the growing demand of masks. Read more here.

Financial measures are also being taken to assist companies, freelancers and private individuals in these exceptional times. For example, Aegon helps out self-employed people with payment problems due to COVID-19, while Jones Day created an overview of key financial litigation considerations that financial institutions should address as part of their COVID-19 crisis response and post-recovery planning. Rabobank announced to its corporate and private customers a postponement of mortgage payment if that would provide relief from the financial impact of the corona crisis.
