On February 3, AmCham and the U.S. Embassy The Hague hosted a joint public-private round-table on the opportunities for biotechnology in the Netherlands. Biotech has proved to be a cornerstone of innovation, driving progress not only in healthcare, agriculture, and environmental science, but in the economy, education, and business worlds. The roundtable discussion was an open dialogue on what is needed to further deliver biotech innovation, and what can drive biotech investments in the Netherlands.
The event hosted representatives from several Dutch ministries, universities, and companies, as well as U.S. participants from Mass Bio and the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Participants were able to discuss the promise that biotech holds for the Dutch society and economy, and address the opportunities and challenges that biotech faces in different fields.
