AmCham Young Professionals Visit Groningen Seaports

Published:

On June 14, AmCham's Young Professionals traveled to Groningen for a visit to the ports of Eemshaven and Delfzijl. Eemshaven is an important energy hub for the Netherlands and is a leader in the development of renewable energy plants. Eemshaven is home to the largest wind farm in the Netherlands on land and plays a major role in the development of offshore wind farms. Also other sustainable energy solutions are developed at Eemshaven to help achieve the Netherlands' sustainable energy goals. Delfzijl is developing into the leading biobased location of northwestern Europe. Circular economy plays an important role in Delfzijl, which is increasingly developing as a perfect location for the recycling and waste industry.

During the excursion, AmCham's YPs were updated on the latest developments at Groningen Seaports and sailed the ports to witness the fast pace at which the energy transition is taking place.

AmCham cordially thanks Groningen Seaports for the great hospitality and the unforgettable afternoon!
