On December 4, AmCham hosted a Negotiation Workshop with &FLUENCE. Members of the Young Professionals group participated in a two-hour workshop that discussed the negotiation process, shared insight into successful negotiations, and put their knowledge to practice with several scenarios.
Negotiations are more than just an in-the-moment agreement. The majority of work that goes into creating a successful negotiation is the preparation. Each individual must understand what they want, what the other party wants, and establish rules to the game before they come to the table. From there, each participant has to build trust with their counterpart, maintaining it throughout the negotiation process and implementation afterward.
