On May 25, AmCham the Netherlands was honored to welcome H.E. Micky Adriaansens, Minister of Economic Affairs & Climate Policy and U.S. Ambassador to the Nederlands Shefali Razdan Duggal during the Annual General Meeting & Chamber Luncheon at Kasteel de Wittenburg in Wassenaar.

AmCham President Jasper van Ouwerkerk presented the first copy of AmCham’s 2023 Investors’ Agenda of Priority Points with recommendations to improve the investment climate in the Netherlands to Minister Adriaansens. The 2023 Priority Points ‘Driving Green Growth in the Netherlands’ focus on stimulating what we have, transforming what has potential to further improve and enabling the economy through talent and infrastructure. Minister Adriaansens then answered questions submitted by AmCham’s member companies - on the competitiveness of the Netherlands, the investment climate, the green transition and the opportunities to further improve diversity, equity and inclusion in the Netherlands and in Dutch boardrooms. She also called on the business community to play an active role.

Ambassador Razdan Duggal shared reflections on the current dynamics in transatlantic trade and investment, and highlighted that the economic ties between the Netherlands and the United States continue to be extremely strong. She also underlined the importance of diversity and equal opportunities for all - a topic very close to her heart.

AmCham cordially thanks Minister Adriaansens and Ambassador Razdan Duggal. Our sincerest thanks also go out to Mastercard and Qlik for supporting the event, as well as the teams at the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate Policy and the U.S. Embassy in The Hague for the collaboration.
