As of March 1, Avis Budget Autoverhuur has grown into a car rental company with 40 locations in the Netherlands. This growth was celebrated during a festive event with a select company of people at Madurodam on October 6.
Dorien Korsten, Manager Corporate Relations & Producer Public Events at Madurodam, opened the event, after which Marc ter Haar, Executive Director of AmCham explained that the American origin of Avis Budget Autoverhuur had led to great collaboration with the AmCham. This allows Avis Budget Autoverhuur to serve 1.300 American companies based in the Netherlands. Aleisha Woodward, Chargé d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy, closed with the official handing over of the Avis miniature van to Martijn Hanekroot, Managing Director Avis Budget Autoverhuur. From now on, the van can be seen on the Madurodam highway.
