ESG Litigation on the Rise: How to Turn Risks Into Opportunities

Published:

On Friday, September 15, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands (AmCham) in collaboration with DLA Piper Netherlands hosted a seminar on the rise of ESG litigation and how companies can turn risks into opportunities.

Three international experts from DLA Piper’s Amsterdam and Paris offices discussed with our members how companies can take a proactive stance by improving ESG performance and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders.

The interactive seminar began by addressing the dynamics of ESG litigation as it stands today. This was followed by a discussion on European due diligence policies and what companies should be aware of regarding new regulations that will be implemented in the coming years. Finally, DLA’s experts advised on the best way for companies to comply with standards and reduce their risk of ESG litigation.

AmCham cordially thanks Michiel Coenraads, Shirley Magniez-Pouget and Jorian Hamster for their engaging contributions and for the constructive approach they brought to the discussion.
