On February 12, AmCham hosted a seminar on the Future of Work with Karien van Gennip, Minister of Social Affairs and Employment. During the seminar, speakers discussed the future of work in the Netherlands during a time of fundamental transitions, demographic changes, and impactful technological developments.

Minister van Gennip opened the session by sharing insights into the current state of the market and the steps needed to attract more talent: “There is a talent that is ready to give its best, above all it is keenly needed and asks for only one thing in return, equitable opportunities".

Anke den Ouden, CEO of Microsoft; Tabita Verburg, EMEA Contract Operations Director at Dow; Frank Helmus, Manager TA Pharma EMEA R&D at Johnson & Johnson; and Anneloes Linzel, HRBP Director Europe & APAC at UPS, shared the successes and challenges they encounter in attracting talent, with the aim of preparing for the rising demand for specific professions in their operations.

AmCham would like to thank Minister van Gennip for her attendance and inspiring words, the speakers for their contributions, and Microsoft for hosting this event.
