Hotel Okura Amsterdam Has Achieved GBAC Star™ Facility Accreditation

Hotel Okura Amsterdam has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for facilities that are prepared for biorisk situations. Under the guidance of GBAC, a division of the worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA, Hotel Okura Amsterdam has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention in its facility. The accreditation signifies that the luxury hotel applies best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics. Hotel Okura Amsterdam is the first venue in the Netherlands to achieve the prestigious international accreditation.

To achieve GBAC STAR accreditation, Hotel Okura Amsterdam was required to demonstrate compliance with the programme’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.
