H.R.H. Queen Máxima Opens Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology

On June 5, 2018 H.R.H. Queen Máxima opened the new Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht, specialized in pediatric oncology. The center is passionate about treating and curing children with cancer using the best possible methods and wants to prevent the development of negative side effects in young patients, both now and over the long term. The Princess Máxima Center wants to cure every child with cancer and provide them optimum quality of life. The Princess Máxima Center brings together the best possible care and quality scientific research all under one roof. Consequently, both disciplines strengthen each other for the benefit of children with cancer. The newly opened Princess Máxima Center is the largest center for pediatric oncology in Europe.

During the festive opening, AmCham was present among the many guests. Over the past years and months, AmCham has given the Princess Máxima Center access to its network to enable new and fruitful collaborations.

AmCham congratulates the Board of Directors - Drs. Diana Monissen, Prof. dr. Rob Pieters and Prof. dr. Hans Clevers - and the entire team and staff of the Princess Máxima Center with the official opening and wishes the center lots of success for the years ahead in fulfilling their mission of curing all children with cancer.
