As we move into the post-covid era and back into the office (partially), it is clearer what we have been missing. Productivity has gone up for many, but we may have lost the connection with colleagues. In fact, many new teammates - hired and onboarded remotely - most likely have never met each other.
On Thursday September 16, AmCham hosted an interactive webinar Reconnect With Your Team and Purpose, in collaboration with Boom Chicago.
During the 60 minute improvisation training, Boom Chicago focused on tackling some of the challenges that come with the return to the office and helped unleash the creativity that is needed to move forward with a common purpose. They also zoomed in on the experience what it is like to build on each other’s ideas, to bond and re-connect.
Everything Boom Chicago does is based on two ideas. Humor is the best tool there is for communicating ideas. It helps overcome resistance, ensures buy-in and makes messages stick. Working together with a "yes-and" attitude is the best way to solve problems. It is important in your contacts and relationships with colleagues and customers. Based on these two principles, Boom Chicago builds programs for business.’
