Today is the 6th International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This year’s theme is ‘Women Scientists at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.’
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the critical role of women researchers in different stages of the fight against COVID-19, from advancing the knowledge of the virus to developing technics for testing and finally the vaccine against the virus.
AmCham is proud to have many companies in their network celebrate this day and embrace women in science. Especially since our very own Diversity & Inclusion Committee acts as an advocate for diversity and inclusion and seeks to support AmCham member companies in their ambitions to create diverse and inclusive business cultures that leverage the full potential of their organizations, ultimately contributing to the competitiveness of The Netherlands.
