On September 21st, in preparation for this year’s Young Professionals Award, the YP Kick Off & Inspiration event served to kickstart and inspire participants in the competition, as well as those interested in the topic. This event further informed on the ‘what’, ‘why’, and ‘how’ of innovation for a sustainable future.
AmCham was honored to have Ilknur Dönmez, Member Management Team Business Climate Directorate, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Jan Willem Velthuijsen, Chief Economist, PwC Netherlands and Prof. dr. Murat Tarakci, Professor of Innovation Strategy, Rotterdam School of Management / Erasmus University, on the stage to share their expertise.
What the speakers collectively emphasized is the urgent need for change, and the role of youth in shaping this change. Additionally, they highlighted the important role of the (international) business community in addressing the challenges of today’s world.
The session was highly interactive and informative regarding the role of innovation in addressing the world’s megatrends. We hope that participants left with takeaways for their own proposals for the Young Professionals Award.
