The Labor Market in 2024 & Beyond - Important Legislative Developments

Published:

On January 12, AmCham and its People Committee organized a seminar to discuss the upcoming Labor Market and Pension Reforms. Our expert speakers navigated through some of the most important legislative changes in both areas, with special attention for the the draft bill More Security for Flexible Workers; the draft bill Clarification of Employment Relationships; and the new Dutch Pension Legislation.

Cara Pronk, Partner Employment Law at Van Doorne, and Marijn van der Heiden, Senior Advisor Employment Conditions and Labor Relations at AWVN, went into the employment related aspects of the draft bills on Flexible Work and Employment Relationships and discussed their impact for employers. Sijbren Kuiper, Partner Pensions at Van Doorne, Yeliz Tintin, Associate Pensions at Van Doorne, and Jaap Schepen, Pension Consulting at Cargill, discussed the most important changes of the new pension legislation and its implication for (U.S.) employers in the Netherlands. The discussion was moderated by Madeleine Molster, Partner Employment Law at Sagiure Legal.

This event was an excellent opportunity for HR Directors, Legal Counsels, Government and Public Affairs Directors and General Management to exchange knowledge and connect. AmCham cordially thanks Van Doorne for hosting the event and all speakers for their valuable contributions to this seminar.
