On January 26, AmCham hosted a livestream with the new President of VNO-NCW, Ingrid Thijssen. The event was an initiative of AmCham's Rotterdam Chapter.
The session started with a word of welcome from AmCham's President Jasper van Ouwerkerk and AmCham's new Executive Director Marc ter Haar. Maarten Verburg, Chair of AmCham's Rotterdam Chapter, moderated the session.
The keynote of Ms. Thijssen focused on the vision of VNO-NCW on ‘The New Translatic Agenda’, a recently published paper by the European Commission, especially of interest considering the start of the new Administration in the United States. Ms. Thijssen elaborated amongst others on COVID, trade, the Biden administation, technology, a joint ETS system and the mutual constructive aproach towards the American-Dutch business community.
