On September 11, AmCham The Netherlands together with AmCham Belgium hosted a webinar to discuss the second United States 2024 Presidential debate. Jon Decker, White House Correspondent and Senior National Editor, gave an insightful overview on where things stand as they relate to the 2024 presidential election. During the webinar, Jon provided background information on the political voting structure in the U.S., discussed the key swing states in this year’s election, and gave his assessment of the candidates’, Kamala Harris (D) and Donald Trump (R), performances in the debate on September 10, 2024. To follow the presentation, attendees asked their own questions, ranging between foreign policy to the congressional elections.
Jon shared his current forecast for the election outcome by state, and will have a prediction on each of the 50 states one week before the elections take place. Using the tool 270 to Win, attendees and other interested parties can make their own predictions as well.
