On October 1, Diversity Day in the Netherlands, AmCham and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee hosted a webinar to discuss how companies can bring the DE&I journey to employees outside of headquarters.
Sharron Cairns, Lead Athlete Service & Training for Nike Direct, and Jason Bricker, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion EMEA at Nike, shared their experiences taking insights from local chapters to better DE&I initiatives. Emilia Kaminska, SR. HR. Manager Eastern Europe & Turkey at Avery Dennison and Maarten Eddes, EMEA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leader at Avery Dennison, spoke about cultural differences and adaptations to foster inclusion. Laura Reijm, HUB Manager at UPS and Ingrid van der Zalm, Director of Healthcare Marketing EMEAI at UPS, shared their knowledge on creating psychologically safe spaces for diverse teams.
From all speakers, attendees heard an honest discussion about the trials and successes of championing diversity and the frameworks that have helped along the way.
