It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Peter Legro, former Managing Director and Chairman of Transavia (1979-2002) and AmCham President Emeritus. Peter Legro passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the age of 80, after a short illness.
Peter Legro was a true pioneer and played a key role in the Netherlands’ aviation industry. Under his leadership, Transavia was transformed from a small charter airline into the competitive low cost airline it is today. From April 1985 until May 1992, Peter Legro served as AmCham President.
We look back at Peter Legro’s legacy with the greatest respect and are forever grateful for his extraordinary contribution to AmCham. Our thoughts go out to Mr. Legro’s family and beloved ones in these difficult times.
