September 21, 2022 - The morning after Budget Day, AmCham hosted an online breakfast session with key reflections in collaboration with AmCham Member Public Matters.
On Budget Day – also known as ‘Prinsjesdag’ – the Dutch Government presents its plans and ambitions for the year ahead in the Speech from the Throne, delivered by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. Pieter Walraven, Managing Partner at Public Matters, presented the highlights of the King’s Speech and the Government’s proposed budget for 2023. He reflected on the current situation in the Netherlands in terms of economic growth and national debt, the tax plan and the proposed budgets for healthcare, hydrogen, energy and other incidental and structural budgets – and gave an overview of the political process that will follow in the weeks and months to come.
