On November 26, with an adjusted program, including a livestream, the fifth edition of the AmCham Young Professionals Award took place in the Heineken Experience.
After a breathtaking final pitching round followed by careful jury deliberation 'CleanTech’ from Pfizer with Anna Schegoleva, Koen De Boer, Friso Coerts and Oscar Lebbink came out as the Winner of the AmCham Young Professionals Award 2021! The jury unanimously decided to select team ‘CleanTech’ as the winner since they impressed the jury with a smart, simple and feasible solution to a tough challenge that parties have struggled with for a long time. The jury appreciates the fact that this team already took the first steps towards piloting and implementation. U.S. Consul General Jennifer DeWitt Walsh presented the winning team their prize: return tickets to a destination of choice in the United States offered by United Airlines for all members of the team. Congratulations!
The criteria in this competition were feasibility, originality, impact and quality of the pitch. Based on these criteria the second prize was awarded to team ‘GreenWaves’ of ExxonMobil with Tessel Snijders Blok, Mark Charnley, Timo Kuilder and Niek Stevens and the third prize to team 'Girls Just Wanna Have Adequate Nutrition’ of DSM with Ayesha Malik, Florentine Oberman, Rosa Hogerzeil and Evy Morssinkhof.

- Team HealthE: Theodoor van der Klaauw, Zoe Nicholson, Karel Andriessen (IBM)
- Team Red Wave: Bo-Iris Bergevoet (Capgemini)

The AmCham Young Professionals Award is a biennial team challenge for young professionals working at AmCham’s member companies and is a competition in recognition of the talent and leadership in AmCham's network. The AmCham Young Professionals Award 2021 'Acceleration Opportunities for the SDGs' focussed on what companies can do to accelerate achievements of the SDGs, since the private sector has an important role to play.
