Update 30% Ruling & AmCham Advocacy Efforts

Published:

Following the recent vote in Parliament on the further sobering of the 30% ruling, AmCham organized a session to discuss the proposed changes to the scheme and their impact, the next steps in the legislative process, and AmCham’s advocacy efforts.

AmChamand with us many other associations, individual companies and organizations believes this tool is of great importance for the attractiveness of the Netherlands. International talent is key to our Members’ success.

Lodewijk Berger, Chair of AmCham’s Tax Committee and Partner at Jones Day, reflected on the technical aspects of the ruling. Peter van Keulen, AmCham Board Member and Founder of Public Matters, provided insight into the legislative process. Marc ter Haar, AmCham Executive Director, gave an update on AmCham's advocacy efforts. Members participated in the discussion and expressed how the changes in the 30% ruling would undoubtedly impact their operations in the Netherlands.

AmCham cordially thanks Peter van Keulen and Lodewijk Berger for their contributions, and all who participated in the call.
