Today, AmCham Members were invited to join a virtual session hosted by McKinsey & Company with Tom Middendorp, former Chief of Defense of the Dutch army (and senior advisor at McKinsey & Company) and Sven Smit, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Middendorp started the session by sharing his experience with 'Leadership in Crises'. He addressed the leader mindset (how to keep focus and confidence as a leader), crisis communications (how to communicate with internal and external audience), and crisis decision-making (how to make decisions with limited information, how to run an OPS-room). Mr. Smit shortly discussed the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Updated numbers and scenarios for the global impact will come out later this week and will be published on the website of McKinsey. At the end of the session there was room for a short Q&A.
