On Tuesday September 14, AmCham hosted an online session on Scaling Up Business Impact on the Sustainable Development Goals. During the session, the opportunities for the private sector to engage on the SDGs were adressed from different perspectivese by our three speakers.
Ms. Wampie Libon, Director International Enterprise Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs talked about the Dutch government’s SDG ambitions and possibilities for the private sector to get involved. Ms. Lisa Jordan, Managing Director of the DRK Foundation in Europe, spoke about The Urgency of Now and innovations to further the SDGs. Mr. Christian van Maaren, Founder of Excess Materials Exchange, addressed the topic from a personal perspective and shared insights from his own mission driven career, that started at Fokker and Shell and inspired him to start his own company in 2016.
The webinar ended with a special Q&A session for participants in the AmCham Young Professionals Award.
