The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to a an unexpected long-term boost in remote working, with unforeseen implications. Existing employment and tax legislation does not correspond with the massive change in how we work. While new legislation and working arrangements are being developed, many companies are at present dealing with employment (including tax) related topics around the implementation of remote working policies.
On Tuesday January 19, AmCham hosted the webinar Working Remotely: Lessons Learned & Update on Legislative Developments. The session focused on the employment conditions and tax perspective of (international) remote work and was an initiative of AmCham’s People Platform in close collaboration with PwC and AWVN.
Nicole Homburg, Senior HR & Labor Relations Consultant at AWVN, Richard van Steenwijk, Director People & Organization / Global Mobility at PWC and Maarten Enklaar, Manager People & Organization / Global Mobility at PWC shared their expertise and addressed important aspects and developments around (international) remote work. Joep Tullemans, Compensation & Benefits Leader at IBM Netherlands, concluded the session with an insight in the daily practice of remote work.
AmCham The Netherlands cordially thanks Nicole Homburg, Richard van Steenwijk, Maarten Enklaar and Joep Tullemans for their valuable contributions this afternoon.
