AmCham member companies are coming together and finding innovative ways to minimize the impact on public health and to limit disruptions to supply chains.

In these times, we depend on many people to help keep our critical services accessible, such as law enforcement officers, emergency service workers, healthcare workers, supermarket personnel and pharmacists. However, people who are making and distributing food and beverages are also of great importance to keep the economy running. This includes many of the workers of Coca-Cola. On top of that, Coca-Cola has also redirected a big part of their marketing spend for community relief programs, medical supplies and equipment during the outbreak phase. Nike is another company that is coming together to support communities where their employees live and work. Nike’s leaders, the Nike Foundation and Nike are committing more than $15 million to COVID-19 response efforts. To read more on the distribution of their donations, please click here.

One of the companies that is helping out our public health is the Dutch health technology company Philips. They are ramping up production of critical healthcare products to help diagnose and treat patients with the coronavirus. This used to be a niche market and now became a mass product. We are grateful for everyone who is helping out to keep everyone safe and ensure that we have food, medicines and other goods that we need in our daily lives.
