New Dutch Franchise Bill Adopted by Parliament and Senate

June 30, 2020 - Since 2017, AmCham has been involved in the debate on the adjustment of the Dutch franchise legislation which will have far-reaching consequenes for (international) franchisors working in and from the Netherlands. Last June 22, the bill was passed in Parliament, including an important amendment that limits the international scope of the bill - an adjustment that was strongly advocated for by AmCham. Today, June 30, the Senate adopted the bill including the important amendment. The new Dutch franchise legislation will come into force on January 1, 2021.
