On 10 June, AmCham’s People Platform hosted a webinar on the People Aspects of Successful Mergers and Acquisitions in collaboration with McKinsey & Company.
Mergers and acquisitions are complex and often create organizational unrest. Often, the operating model and culture will change dramatically for at least one of the merging companies. These changes go far beyond a new name and senior leadership; they challenge the core of an organization’s identity, purpose, and day-to-day work. People aspects are often overlooked before, during and after a merger or acquisition. Failing to anticipate and address them however can lead to poor business performance, a loss of critical talent, and missing out on synergies.
During this one-hour webinar, our expert speakers Kameron Kordestani, Partner at McKinsey in New York, and Becky Kaetzler, Partner at McKinsey in Frankfurt, zoomed in on what organizations can do to successfully prepare for the people dimension of M&A, adding real and long-term value.
AmCham cordially thanks Kameron Kordestani and Becky Kaetzler for their contribution to this online session.
