The Industry Committee of AmCham (formerly 'Rotterdam Chapter') brings together Members located in the industrial region of the Port of Rotterdam and other industrial clusters in the Netherlands and offers a platform to discuss major developments that impact the industrial ecosystem. The Committee aims to raise awareness around these developments and the investment climate for industry within the wider community of AmCham Members and stakeholders, while addressing the challenge of both competitiveness and achieving the ambition of a Circular and Low Carbon World – the energy transition is an important part of achieving that goal.
More specifically, the Committee wishes to focus on:
- creating understanding around the role of industry, the operational reality of industry today and the investment climate for the future;
- addressing bottlenecks like labor market scarcity and the need for talent and funds to support the transition;
- highlighting the role of technology and innovation.
The Committee brings together:
- AmCham Members operating in capital intensive industries;
- AmCham Members operating in energy intensive industries;
- AmCham Members that bring innovative solutions for the low carbon and circular economy, including the energy transition;
- AmCham Members that are key players in enabling factors.
