Dutch Tech Giants Urge State Secretary Snel to Reconsider 30% Ruling Plan

Published:

In a letter to State Secretary for Finance Menno Snel, the Netherlands’ largest tech companies, including the newly floated Adyen, Booking.com and TomTom, have urged the State Secretary to rethink the plans to cut the 30% ruling back to five years without a transitional period. Jointly, they address the huge impact this change will have on the lives of many of their employees, particularly in the difficult to fill positions in the tech departments - a crucial part of their workforce. Moreover, the Cabinet decision undermines the reliability of the Dutch government, which will make it more difficult in the future to attract new talent in a highly competitive global labor market.
